2006 Team rosters

Intermountain Orthopaedics team

Idaho's largest cycling club and race team has confirmed a three year sponsorship deal with Intermountain Orthopaedics. On top of its fourth year sponsoring the IO/LRC club and as title sponsors of the Idaho State Championship races and the White Knob Challenge, Intermountain Ortho Sports Medicine is going to be even more involved in bike racing in 2006.

The group has added a new primary sub-sponsor for 2006 in St. Alphonsus' Life Flight. Life Flight is celebrating its 20 years of service to Southwest Idaho this year. Other primary sub-sponsors for the Intermountain Orthopaedics squad include long-time supporters at Bodybuilding.com and the Boise Co-Op along with the Flipside Cafe.

The elite race squad has added Uhl Albert and Nate Spangler to the roster along with a solid group of category racers that are the foundation of this local program. "I expect we'll see numerous podiums on both the road and in the dirt this year," said club founder Andy Bopp.

Club coordinator Tyler Welshimer added, "But the most exciting thing is our ever expanding club membership. We think 2006 is the year we reach 200 members. We now have club members from Wells, Nevada to Baker City Oregon. We are working to add regular Nampa rides to our weekly list in 06."

Intermountain Orthopaedics Cycling has more than half a dozen regularly scheduled weekly rides during the height of the cycling season. Two regular weekend rides are scheduled year-round. Club members participate in the club rides, local charity events, century rides and the local race scene.

Other local returning sponsors include Reed Cycle & Ski in Eagle, the Boise Weekly, primary care specialists Mountain States Medical, Gray and Smith Family Dentists, The Parrilla Grill in Hyde Park, Big City Coffee & Café, Andrae's contemporary French cuisine, and Holzer, Edwards & Harrison, injury attorneys.
