Camp Highland racing team ready for 2006

After a successful first year of road racing and triathlons in 2005, the Camp Highland Racing Team look forward to an even more rewarding season in 2006. Having nearly doubled the size of the roster with high-quality riders racing categories 2, 3, Masters', Juniors' and Womens' pro-am, the team look to be dominant in the regional Georgia Cup series as well as some selected regional stage races.

Team Manager Tony Hergert envisions the team being in the hunt for the Georgia Cup overall leader's jersey in at least 2 categories and the team will be traveling to local, regional and National NRC events like the International Cycling Classic in Milwaukee, the GA, FL and SC Championship Road and Criterium races, as well as the Hincapie Fall Classic in Greenville, SC. Camp Highland have added racers that will be participating in the 2006 Cyclocross National Championships and Road National Championships, as well.

Teammate and Category 2 racer, Christopher Allison (24th in 2005 Under 23 mens' national championship road race), will be attending training camp in California and Arizona before heading to Belgium as a member of the US Cycling Center's developing rider classics program. We're really excited for Chris...he's worked hard with his coach, Jason Wilson, and we've enjoyed watching his progress. We really look forward to watching him mature into a professional in Europe.
