2004 Team rostersTeam Bikesport/Lifetime Fitness/AAVCBased out of Ann Arbor and Metropolitan Detroit, Michigan, USA, the Team Bikesport/Lifetime Fitness/AAVC team will be racing throughout Michigan and the Midwest. The team has already had a busy start, scoring its first win at the Schabobele Classic Road Race, as well as assisting sponsor Lifetime Fitness to raise money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America during their 4-hour Valentines Day Indoor Cycling Marathon.
"In 2003 we were exclusively a team composed of Category 3 racers," says Team Director John Rigdon. "In 2004, a number of team members have upgraded, and now we are fielding full Category 2 and Category 3 teams, as well as a Juniors team. With the addition of some great new team members, as well as the support of our fantastic sponsors we're looking for even more success in 2004." This year, one half of all team winnings will be donated to Back Alley Bikes, a community bike repair and reuse center located in the Cass Avenue Corridor neighborhood of Detroit, MI. Back Alley Bikes is dedicated to assisting area residents to build and repair bicycles and providing two-wheeled transportation options to neighborhood youth. Team Bikesport/Lifetime Fitness/AAVC is sponsored by: Bikesport, Lifetime Fitness, The Ann Arbor Velo Club, GDX Automotive, Papa Romans Pizza, Sugoi, Keystone Media, Northeast Financial Corporation, Clif Bar, Orbea, Tifosi Optics, Bell, Continental Bicycle Tires, and the Ford Motor Company.
