Steamer racing 2004

After a successful freshman year on the BC and Northwest racing circuit, Steamer Racing has made some exciting additions for 2004. Rocky Mountain Bicycles returns as frame sponsor to launch their new line of Solo road bikes.

The team, established by Paul Blanchette, goes into its second year with it core racers of 2003: Basse Clement, Carl Jacobson, Shane Savage, Brad Slater, and Scott Slater. The team enjoyed much success with this combination of experienced racers and up and coming talent. For 2004 the team decided to expand, adding multiple BC champion Matt Usborne, as well as an exciting mix of some of the top up and coming riders in BC; climber Jordan Guenette, all-round racer Wayne Schuab and aspiring sprinter David Goosen. This dynamic group provides an exciting mix of experience and enthusiasm. With teamwork, competition, and a desire to promote cycling and compete across BC and the Pacific Northwest 2004 promises to build on the teams successes of 2003.

The team will focus its racing objectives around key events in the Pacific Northwest, including the BC Cup series, BC Super Week, Canadian National Championships as well as many other local and regional events.
