Cycling News Flash for November 12, 2005Edited by Hedwig Kröner Giro 2006: official announcement of the parcoursThe 89th Giro d'Italia from May 6-28, 2006, has been officially unveiled in the Mazda Palace in Milano, Italy, this evening. From the start in Seraing, Belgium, to the finish in Milano, the Giro d'Italia 2006 will total 67 individual time trial kilometers, of which 11 will be up the famous Ghisallo mountain on the very last day of the race. Other mythical mountaintops on the parcours include the Gavia and the Mortirolo just one day prior to that (stage 20), with mountain finishes on the Maieletta as soon as stage 7 and the Bondone in stage 16.
