Guidi positive

The Phonak Hearing Systems team has announced that one of its riders, Fabrizio Guidi, has tested positive for a banned substance, believed to be EPO. The test was taken at the HEW Cyclassics in Hamburg on July 31. The results of Guidi's B test is not yet known, but the team has suspended Guidi with immediate effect in accordance with the ProTour code of ethics.

Guidi is the fourth Phonak rider in the past year test positive for a banned substance or method, following Oscar Camenzind, Tyler Hamilton, and Santiago Perez.
