Race 14 - Sunday, July 20: Super D
Lloyd and Craig repeat as Super D Champions

On a redesigned Super D course, Rachael Lloyd (Proman) and Adam Craig (Giant) each made it two titles in a row in the Super D at Mount Snow, Vermont. Lloyd was followed by cycling legend Marla Streb (Luna Womens MTB) and US Cyclo-cross Champion Katie Compton (Spike). Ross Schnell (Trek/VW) was second to Craig, and Bryan Fawley (Park Place Lexus) was third.
When asked about the course changes, Streb said, " The course had some rock embedded water bars that were pretty dangerous if you were on a cross country bike. Some of the cross country people (including Kelli Emmett) decided not to do it because they were worried about the high speeds."
"There were some technical woods and there were two climbs that I thought canceled out the technicality," said Streb. "I thought it was a really well balanced course though."
"I was kind of engulfed in girls at the start," said Lloyd. "Basically it was Willow (Koerber), Marla, and me. Willow was riding really well, and then I think she dropped a chain.
"I stayed with Marla until the big climb. I just pinned it then," said Llloyd.
