Stage 2 - February 4

All around Volcán Villarrica

Stage two, one of the toughest in the race, took competitiors around Volcan Villarica and over 100km. Yesterday's winners, Javier Puschel and Carlos Cardemil of the Scott que Pacho? team again took victory. The Chilean team finished in five hours, 33 minutes and 57 seconds.

The race started in Pucon's national park and finished in Menetue Thermal Baths. Racers had to carry their bikes during many kilometesr due to tough pedalling conditions along some sections.

"This is with no doubt the most epic and toughest stage with very technical paths and trails," said race director Juan Pablo Santiagos.
