Cole show his class

A relatively short 1.2 kilometre downhill course combined with hot dry conditions to produce blistering times at the fourth round of the 2007 NZCT mountain bike national series at Dome Valley near Warkworth today

Current Junior Downhill World Champion Cameron Cole had the fastest time of the day with a time of 1.46.86 just ahead of Sam Blenkinsop, who was leading the Elite Men's series points going into this penultimate round.

Twenty elite riders from six countries lined up for the race which could prove crucial in determining the final overall series positions. Four riders are all within striking distance going into the final race next weekend at Levin.

Auckland's Jennifer Makgill dominated the small Elite Women's field.
