Who needs Queensland when we can race in conditions like we had on Sunday with a sunny 15 deg and no rain? Track conditions where perfect with riders claims this as the best track that they have raced on for some time.
The track contain 80% single track and 20% open fire road climbs and descents covering 8.4 kilometers of bliss well that's what the riders say.

The Dirt Riders 6 hour endurance race was held on the 4th June at the Dallas Brooks Scout Camp in Beaconsfield Upper. With over 260 riders converging on the one location was not a problem as their was plenty of on site parking for every one. (This is a rare occurrence in these sorts of venues). With the weather a mild 10 degrees celcius warming to a 15 degrees sunshine and not a drop of rain the conditions were perfect for a big day of racing. While some riders opted to race solo for over 6 hours many did choose the more sensible pairs, triples or quad teams. Male female and mixed categories were available so there was plenty of opportunity to win or place in your preferred category.
The Dirt Riders Mountain Bike Club was the host for the event and the organisation was so good that there was nothing they hadn't thought of. Coffee, photographers, toilets and running water were available to everyone.
The course was over 8km long taking rider about 25 to 40 minutes to conquer. Most of it was sweet single track with a few obstacles to challenge the skilled and brave. The climbs were just long enough to enable you to catch the guy in front and enough fire roads to make passing easy. As the field spread out you could have the track to yourself and concentrate on clearing the tricky bits with clean lines.
It amazed me that after 6 hours of riding competitors would still race like it was the first lap. Some of the positions were contested with only seconds difference.
Riders seemed to come from all over the state and even interstate and over seas. It was a great event and we hope the Dirt Rider will do it all again next year.
