• Sam Hill (Monster Energy / Iron Horse) makes his way to the World Cup podium.
• Steve Peat (Santa Cruz Syndicate) was powerless to stop Sam Hill, four seconds adrift.
• The Maribor course was mainly comprised of fast woodland singletrack...
• ...although the rock garden was an exception and found many victims.
• The large crowds were only too happy to watch and wait for the action.
• Sam Blenkinsop almost dropped it on the top section.
• Sabrina Jonnier (Team Maxxis) was controlled throughout her race-winning run.

• A world cup rider enjoys the view from the local freeride park.
• The race itself doesn't start until further down the mountain.
• From the gate the downhill heads straight over a large double - just out of shot.
• Gee Atherton tackles one of the man made drops of which there are few on this predominantly natural course.

• Emmiline Ragot qualified third yesterday and will hope to rival Sabrina Jonnier and Tracy Moseley, who finished first and second respectively.
