Intense-Fox double up

Teammates of Intense-Fox, Sabrina Jonnier and Chris Kovarik, won their finals of the Mountain Cross event at the fourth round of the NORBA National Mountain Bike Series in Sandpoint, Idaho today.

In the men's event, number one seed Kovarik, having won all his heats, got the best start off the line and his lead was never touched. The battle was in the race for second where Eric Carter (USA) Mongoose-Hyundai edged out Mike King (USA) Haro-Lee Dungarees.

In the women's event, an early crash put both Katrina Miller (Jamis) and Fionn Griffiths (Foes Azonic) out of the picture. Jonnier was able to avoid the crash and take it home to win the event ahead of Melissa Buhl (KHS). Miller got up and placed third in front of Griffiths.

Tomorrow the action is back in Sandpoint for the Short Track and Downhill events.
