Lake Macquarie
City Council and Warners Bay Chamber of Commerce, two organisations
that have been supporting the Cycle Classic with a road stage
finish for quite a few years, have been given the opportunity
of staging a criterium race in 2000.
The enthusiastic
Chamber and Council have been organising a festival in conjunction with
the race finish will continue to do so this year and seem certain to be
able to provide strong support from the general public.
The course, a hot
dog circuit is on the major road adjacent to the Shopping centre and alongside
the famous Lake Macquarie, will be a great spectacle with spectators gaining
wonderful access locations to view the action.
The circuit will
be a fast open race with the final sprint slightly uphill which will give
every rider a chance for victory on the wide open road.
The Singapore Tourism
Board will stage the third round of the Trishaw action.
