Stage 12, Milton to Batemans Bay, 120 km

Friday, November 10, 2000, 10:30 - 12:58

Results

A new stage for the race last year, proved to be a wonderful circuit - challenging from the start of the race as it move through Ulladulla and then Batemans Bay to Mogo and onto Moruya (the most southern past of the tour) before heading back to Mogo and the finish in Batemans Bay.

It was an aggressive affair from the very start with Marcel Wust, the Tour de France stage winner this year that claimed victory over Jeremy Hunt, who pulled his foot in the final dash to the line.

Eurobodalla Shire continues with the most spectacular country side and the coastal towns along the race route is spectacular to say the least. Batemans Bay is a wonderful location to finish the stage and the 120 kilometre distance is challenging and is very much a feature of the event.
