Dutch rider Tijmen Eising took off from the gun in the men's junior World Cup in Tabor, and if anyone had doubts that his early attack could be sustained, they were wrong. Only his teammate Lars Van der Haar came close to holding Eising's furious pace, and came second. Van der Haar was the best of a group of eleven riders who battled for the remaining podium places. The Czech trio of Matej Lasak, Karel Hnik and Radak Polnicky took third through fifth. American Luke Keough had a strong performance in eleventh.
