The Georgia Cyclo-Cross Series held the third race of the series at Fort Yargo State Park in Winder, GA on Sunday, October 29th. The series continues to see an explosion of interest in 'cross racing, with an increase of over 55 riders from last year's field. Sunday's race saw a tightly fought Men's A race with teammates Andy Johnston and Michael Cummings (KHS/Cycleyouth). The two teamed up on series leader Nathan Race (Reality Bikes) to get Cummings his second win of the year.

The race was held on a brutally tough course laid out by the Gwinnett Touring Club. The first half was twisty and fast and the back half was torturous as the riders had a long run across a beach, about 100 yards of a climb, a set of barriers at the base of the dirt climb, and the gradual road uphill to the finish line.

The Women's A race was also a great show as Samantha Williams (Alan Factory Team) returned after having missed a weekend to race the UCI race in Maryland. Samantha showed that she is on form and a force to be reckoned with as she narrowed the gap on series leader Kim Foland (Travel Girl).
