Durango 'Cross

Durango, Colorado, November 12, 2006

The elite men's field began fast with past Mountain bike National Champion and Olympian Travis Brown, Joey Thompson (winner of both Boulder GP U23 races), and the barrier-bunnyhopping wonder Adam Snyder taking an early lead.

In front of a large crowd of spectators, including Todd and Troy Wells, and Tom Danielson, the three switched the lead throughout the hilly course unil Brown pulled away in the last 10 minutes of racing to take the win. Thompson rolled through in second, and Adigga Adam Snyder finished third. A few minutes later, local racer Robin Guilborne came through in fourth, followed by Brendan Shafer in fifth, Scott Simmons in sixth, Chad Cheeney in seventh, and Rickey Visinski in eighth.
