- The start of the women's A field.
- North Carolina series leader Cara McCauley (BMW-Bianchi) pushed the pace from the start.
- Across the top of the dam McCauley keeps the field strung out.
- Deb Whitmore (BMW-Bianchi) was riding strongly until a mechanical took her out of the running.
