Michael Heintzman edged out Pat Ferris in a close fireside sprint to win the final Thursday night cyclo-cross of the season. They both completed 5 laps in the 30-minute time limit. Rick Merwin lead the race for 20 minutes but faded to third. Rod Lewis was 4th, also at five laps. Gord Harris was 5th at 8 laps in the 30-minute time. Sam Keats was 6th Adam Currie 7th and 8th. Mike Hientzman leads the series with Pat Ferris in second spot.

Sunday is cyclo-cross race # 6 at Beatton River Flats at 2 p.m.
